Had this quite some time ago but forgot to post it. Will definitely be back to try the other steaks and side dishes. :)

 

I was wrong to believe that food at a 5-star hotel cannot be that bad. Calories are simply wasted on bread-like "scones". To make things worse, I could not taste the freshness of the clotted cream to mask those "scones" and it tasted like it was whipped out of a can of Reddi Wip.

 

Well, the hotel's location did help me though... to make an easy decision not to go back for english high tea again... not even if it's a one-for-one offer.

 

                

All-time favorite Devonshire cream tea at Fosters is the best answer to your cravings for butter scones with clotted cream, homemade strawberry jam, freshly-baked cakes and finger sandwiches - without burning a hole in your wallet.

 

Though this English Cafe is tucked away at a corner of Holland Village, it has many regulars and can be noisy at times. Opt for the al-fresco area where you can find some tranquillity to round off a perfect English afternoon tea.
