    Bishamon Sapporo Ramen

Another good ramen! Though it's not the usual pork-bone Tonkotsu soup I usually crave for, its overall flavor and taste of the noodles is to my liking. The Char Siew is one of the most tender that I've savoured so far, while the miso soup is not too salty to gulp it all down. Egg is also stewed to perfection with the creamy and runny yolk oozing out once I pried it open with the chopsticks. Well Done!

Peach Garden @ 33 The Executives' Club

Splendid food as always! But was disappointed for not being able to view fireworks while having dinner...they just don't have the view despite being on 33rd floor, sigh...

The Wasabi Prawn ($6 per person) was so different from the one we had at Novena Gardens. This time, it was nicely presented on a long rectangular plate, with the prawns sitting artistically on a round-cut watermelon (which I initially thought was a slice of tomato! =p)

The 'Dish of the Night' award must go to the Shark cartilage soup (w/o shark's fins), which is not on the menu. We saw that the milky delectable was available on the set dinner and asked for an ala-carte serving for $18. This is definitely a must if you are in need of collagen-boost! Try and you'll know what I mean.

Homemade tofu ($6 per person) is not exactly fantastic, but there is nothing to complain about either.

The sauteed garoupa ($22 for small portion) serving was a surprise though, with as many as 8 big fillets. But beware...the XO sauce is HOT!

So how can we leave without trying the desserts?! ...and they did not f**king (credit to J**e S**h) disappoint us with the Black Glutinous Rice in coconut ($6.50) and Cream Almond with Soy Beancurd ($4.50).

Va Va Voom Cafe - The Vietnamese Concept

One of the eateries along Seah Street (at the end near Naumi Hotel)...I'm not really into Vietnamese food, but I think this is authentic enough, at reasonable price too! No GST & service charge! But no credit cards, cash or NETS only.

And to catch NDP fireworks (Which I hope to upload the pics soon cos my PC encountered some errors with the images Confused ), we went up to the Shaw Towers carpark...but not before getting our ice cream dessert at Tom's Palette (which I last intro in Feb 2008).
