This much-ravelled Chinese restaurant has recently been refurbished, with the most distinctive change being the tiffany-blue interior. But don't shy away thinking it's gonna burn a hole in your wallet like it will buying Tiffany jewellery. If you are looking for value-for-money dim sum, head down to Royal China at Raffles Hotel. 

Har Gow - fresh shrimp meat wrapped in translucent skin, best eaten within a minute it arrives on your table!

Char Siew Sou - Chinese pastry with Char Siew filling. Very light crust and baked to perfection. Best I've had so far.

Royal China Cheong Fun - Enjoy all 3 kinds (char siew, prawn & scallop) of cheong fun in one order!

Siew Mai - Steamed chicken meat topped with fragrant mushrooms and ebiko roe.

Steamed Phoenix Claws - Chicken feet painstakingly fried then steamed in black bean sauce.

Steamed bun with Mango and salted egg-yolk - Don't imagine, just try it!

Crispy Egg Tarts - Crust is soooo crispy...only complaint is...it's too small!!! Give me a GIANT egg tart!

Shark's fin dumpling in superior stock - Good but not fantastic, especially when I found crab stick meat in the dumpling. How can they use such an ingredient???

Cream of Pumpkin with black glutinous rice & coconut ice cream - delightful dessert...but the black glutinous rice is too little isn't it?

Anyway, all these only cost you about $25 per pax, if you have a bigger group I'm sure you will be able to try more dim sum items and lower the cost. UOB credit card gets 10% discount! Remember, you MUST make a reservation in advance. Lunch is till 2pm, last order around 2.30pm.
