    Ah Yat Seafood

This dinner is sponsored (because it's my BD feast!), courtesy of Po.
Look at the prices of the live seafood, unbelievable! On weekdays only of course.

We wished we could order everything available...but decided on the following:

Thereafter, we proceeded to a small ice-cream shop for dessert. It's just outside the seafood restaurant.
Trust me! This freshly made ice cream has gotta be better (in terms of both taste & price) than any gelato you can find in Singapore!
Just to name some of the flavours we saw: chocolate stout, pineapple tart, rum & raisin. Plus, they come up with new flavours regularly.

    Shokudo Japanese Food Bazaar

This is really reminiscent of Marche... I thought the business model was passe...

As usual, it was real crowded on a Saturday evening, what more it being a new restaurant. However, it seems like it can't really handle the big crowds as the respective small 'kitchens' appear to be very disorganised. I had to wait in the queue for about 20mins just to place my order of Sausage omu rice, after which I'm told to return 10mins later to get the food. Anyway, the omu rice tasted ok, but I somehow felt a bit short-changed that the ketchup rice was not entirely wrapped in the omelette but simply topped by it.

But I must admit that they do have a wide variety of Jap cuisine ranging from the basic sashimi, sushi, tenpura, ramen, teppenyaki, to other specialties like oden, kushimono, nabe, japanese-western pasta & pizza, salad, desserts etc...and the prices are rather reasonable too! My dinner (after +++) is only $36.13.

Highly recommended: the homemade tofu cheesecake and the red bean ice cream dessert!
